Warm Climates Over The Past Three Million Years in Africa

To find out what is causing this occurs, researchers used statistical and mathematical models to correlate the changes as they see in an environment with other things that may have happened at the time, including changes in Earth’s orbit and changes in sea surface temperature.

Earth’s orbit around the sun slowly change over time, this change is related to the warm climates in the Olduvai Gorge through changes in the African monsoon system. Change occurs when sunlight very little and change the intensity of atmospheric circulation and water supply.

Rainfall patterns that encourage plants to follow the circulation pattern of monsoon, the study found a correlation between the changes in the environment and the planet’s orbit, and the correlation between environmental change and sea surface temperature in the tropics.
